Need a little help please? Which R would you buy? Both are around the same price. Both need the same amount of work. I know the 88 has the most HP, but besides that are there really and differences beside esthetics?

The 89 had a better clutch, and that's really the only significant advantage I can think. However, you can buy an 89 clutch update kit for the 88, so it's really only a $70 advantage.

You really can't go wrong with either one.

I don't know about that. I know a guy that did that, and it didn't turn out well. She was a horse person, loved to ride horses. He liked ATVs. Well, she bought him a horse right about the same time that he bought her a quad.

They were divorced a few months later.
