can a 86 and 88 ignition parts be used together?.....I have an 88 stator and a 86 coil and cdi......and I cant get any spark........could use some help....thanks

should work together, I have used 88 cdi wtih an 86 harness before with out problems.

Buy a Clymer (sp) repair manual. They have wiring diagrams

There has to be a manual out there that has a better diagram than the clymers. I couldn't read that diagram if my life depended on it.

I was trying to wire my msd ignition up and didnt know if I had it wired correctly......turns out I have a gash in the windings on my stator.......thanks for the help anyway.......anyone got a working stator for me to buy?

You can download the manual on everything2stroke.com . An actual manual with missing pages is better than a Clymers manual so go download the manual. You will need winzip8.0 or higher to open the spanned zip file. You can also download the trial version of winzip9.0 from many different sites.

you can run a way brighter light bulb or dual headlights. pluss i would imagine it wouldnt hav to work as hard so it should last longer and be easier to produce the rest of the power the quad needs.

what about the esr ignition system? it says youll notice better throttle response
