250X wont run when hot.

A friend of mine has an 87 TRX250X and it doesnt want to run when it gets hot. They took to the local Honda dealer, they determened it was the cdi box and changed it. Needless to say this didnt fix it. I think its the stator. My friend doesnt have a shop manual and I need the stator readings. Can anyone please tell the ohm readings for a good stator. I had an 89 CR125 that ran good for 3 to 5 min, then when the stator got hot it wouldnt rev up and didnt want to stay running. So Im thinking that this is the problem, any help is appreciated.

honda manual says 100-300 ohms between the black/red wire and ground.
