We just bought my son a 250EX and he loves it.

As we were looking it over, I checked the air filter and it looked dry. I touched it and got a _very_ small amount of oil film on my finger.

So, my question is: is it be oiled from the factory and is this the proper amount? I have a can of spray on Uni filter oil. Should I put more oil on the filter?

yes, it should be oiled from the factory, but it wouldn't hurt to put some more on it. it would probably be worth while to go ahead and clean it and re-oil it. you want to cover it thoroughly, then squeeze the filter to make sure it covers all the foam.
