get with beerock, i think his is a PV? i know he has a 330.

I have an ESR330PV in my 87 250R. I had my motor tuned and dynoed by Trinity racing and it pumped out 71hp ( I have the dyno sheet if your interested). Anyway, you wont have any problem beating pretty much any four stroke out there and unless your going up against a bike with the same motor, chances are your going to beat it. I am on my second piston on this motor and it is running like a champ!

I have a non PV 330 bare cast port job.

the PV on a 330 gives the ability to still have bottom end and port it for top end. the pv allows this, without the PV the 330 with a top end port job woul dbe like a light switch, and a HEAVY HIT would folow. If you ride like that then, you wont need a PV.

the pv really allows you to get alot of top end without losing much bottom. if its ported correctly....

I feel a 330 doesnt need a PV, but then again, it would be easier to ride if i ported it it for dragging, then the pv would really help.

Alot of draggers dont use the PV cuz they just hold it WOT

i guess it comes down to the cash in your pocket....

wont the PV put out more hp?

No, Powervalves do not put out any more HP. They just help with low end where the power is more usable for most riders . If you are dragging though you will want to avoid the PV!
