Are the jets in the 400ex carb the same as the 250x, not size? What are the stock size jets in the 250x? Im trying to figure this out to find a place to start jetting for the custom 400ex to 250x exhaust slip on.

i think the 250x stock main jet is a 122, and the 400 is a 148. They are the same style jets. jetting will take some experimenting...
