Posted by: baja_racer

That's nice......how much did you spend??

Posted by: bauer450r

$170 for everything foam and cover

Posted by: WhiteZee

does it come as a complete set ready to put on, or do you have to tear the stock seat part?

Posted by: bauer450r

I just sent the whole seat to them, did it as a product review of them on www.450r.net
Call quad tech and if they don't know what you are talking about, talk with bill and say you saw the review jasson bauer did on the hump seat, it sales for $170 don't knoe if that is instaled or if you have to.

ok, thanks.

it is a really nice seat, and i was a full second faster on it and felt more comfatable on the bike to.

That is pretty ridiculous if you ask me, if your butt is that far back on the seat under hard acelleration you are sitting way too far back on the bike period.

If you are under hard acelleration you should be up against the tank to keep the front wheels down.

1. Basically if its pulling hard enough to want to pull you off you should be on the front of the seat.

2. If you are back that far trying to find traction, the bike will not be acellerating hard enough to need that hump, because there is wheelspin instead of foward movement.

What I think is more likely here is the Seat foam is lowered up front and he left it stock height in the rear. Set your old foam beside your new seat and let us know.

If this is the case, I agree with you a lowered seat can improve lap times, I lowered my foam on my seat, and it greatly improved handling.

will take a picture of the stock seat next to it, don't know what they did, just that i like it!

How is the gripper material on that seat. I almost bought one but cd said they use a different material for the gripper part. I just went with a plain black n-style cover for the time being but I really like those quad tech covers.

Posted by: bauer450r

it holds my fat a?s when i ride it, and im 230lbs, but 6'2. the seat is the best gripper seat ive use and i used the n-style on my 400ex and did like as much as my quad tech on my 450r.

I don't really think the hump is for your ***** anyway, I think it gives you proper position on the seat right in the middle for a neutral feeling. And when your hammering some whoops that would be nice cause you are back there off the seat and it is hitting you repeativley.
Makes total sense to me.

Posted by: bauer450r

i beleave so, www.quadtech-atv.com
