Hey guys,
I use "Bel-Ray" Chain Lube and it say's you have to let it sit for 15 mins after you put it on? Well if your spose to lube your chain before every ride, that would be a pain. Got anything a little quicker?
Thanks

we use maxima chain guard

i just started using white lithium grease. you ought to let it sit overnight before you ride though.

Bel-Ray +1
As I roll it out of the garage I walk beside it and spray down by the front sproket. By the time the bike starts and warms up and I get my gear on, it's had time to sink in.

I used to use the maxima chain wax, but have recently switched over to HP (the honda brand) and am very impressed. Its the white stuff I dont remember the exact name. It sprays on white and works very good.

This is the stuff I use Bel-Ray 6 n 1 oil. Works great. I just spray it on let the bike warm up while I get dressed by the time I come out she's ready to go.

Bar and Chain oil through Harborfreight, 3 bucks for a quart, Ive put 40 hours on my quad since I started using it, My chain is still in perfect shape and I still have half a quart left.

LATELY , I HAVE BEEN PACKING THE CHAIN REAL GOOD WITH HARD GREASE (FOR BEARINGS ON TRI AXLES AND STUFF) IT SEEMS TO BE HOLDING UP AND RIDES REAL SMOOTH
iM NTO completly sure if its good for it or not, but it seems to be workin great!!!!

When I bought my quad, before I started building it up, my chain was a POS...well i didn`t have the 60$ to buy aq new one cuz I got my HMF and all i did was dipped it in used motor oild, and then i let it sit. Now all I do is take some Polaris chain Lube from a spraycan and spray it on before every ride...my chain is back to perfect

depends on where i ride. in the dunes, i use wd-40 just to keep the chain slick. if you use a chain wax, the sand and grit sticks to it chewing up the o-rings. but on the trails, i use bel-ray.

i use wd-40,itkeeps the chain clen and lookin good,i wouldnt use bel ray becuz its sticky and if your riding in dusty areas its bad becuase all of the dust sticks to the chain and chews up the o-rigs so i wouldnt use that

Used to use Bel-Ray but it was always collect dirt and crude so I swiched to WD40. Works great!

WD-40 is great out in the dunes, the sand sticks more when using chain lubes. I used to use the Maxima chain wax, good stuff but kind of messy and thick. I changed to the silver bottle, chain lube something or another.
I walk the bike and spray it before I load up. I also spray the inside of the chain and not the outside. It works itself outward while I ride and this way it doesn't fling off or get on the skidplate.
The silver Maxima is good stuff.
