how can you tell if an arens 250R frame is a frame actually made for the 250R and not some other bike,,,, or does arens only make frames for 250Rs. just wondering,im looking at a 250r and it has an arens frame, just wondering if its an actual 250R frame

Stock 250r frames are square tubing. all aftermarket frames are round tubing. Usually the maker of the frame will have their logo or name on the front of the quad, where the vin numbers are. if it is round tubing, it is for sure aftermarket, and u will just have to look for the logo

Well if theres a 250r motor in an Arens frame chances are it's a 250r frame. Only some knucklehead would switch it up. It wouldnt make sense to drop a 250r motor in a different frame, because the 250r chassis is probably considered the best handling.

I understand what your getting at.Making sure the frame wasnt built for a 426 or yf400 and someone stuck the r motor in.The frame should have a serial# on it that Arens can look up.If the R motor looks right in it Id say it was ok

My best guess is the serial number is right where the VIN usually is on stock frames. I don't know the number for arens tho. I still run a stocker for a frame..

I run an arens frame and if you send me a pic I could probably tell you, I don't think arens has serial numbers on their frames

My number is between the two upper front shock mounts, There is a piece of flat steel thar connects the two main tubes and under the headlight.

thanks for all the help my fellow 250R owners,

ill post a pic of the frame and see what you guys can come up with ,,,, someone told me if the swing arm goes behind the engine and not through the engine its a 250r frame,i dont know? but ill post some pics, thanks guysss

that is true. 400ex motors go thru the engine... and i dont think they would make frames for anything else.... cept a crf450 and a yz426, but i think them also are based off a 250r, and dont go thru the motor.... correct me if im wrong.
