My buddy used 800 grit paper then 1000 then 1200 finished wet sanding with 1500 and then buffed her out with zymoil wax looked good but i wouldn't do it, to much elbow grease and time.

Bleech will work , a few of my friends did it on their old yamaha dirtbikes.

Go to lrdperformance.com and check out their racing tips, it has a great tip on how to clean plastic, especially white. Check it out, it also has some other cool tips.

For my white plastic I clean it with a rough material sponge with OXY clean mixed in with the water.

I use 2001 wheel cleaner with a rough cloth on my wifes trailblazer. That stuff seems too work good. Then I shine them up with Son of a Gun

If I where you I wouldnt rub it with anything abrasive. I sanded my 250 and blasters white plastics then everytime it got dirty the dirt got stuck down in the little scratches. I would just try to polish it with some type of chemical. I personaly like mop 'n' glo. You can find it at your supermarket in the floor cleaning isle.
