how do u get the axle locknut off of a 2001 300ex?

Just unscrew it! It might be reversed threads so try both ways!

you have to loosen the inner nut .(which goes in toward the brake hub) then loosen up the smaller one(outer.) you have to turn it towards the brake hub then pull out the circlip or the roundclip around it then you can unscrew it..sorry for bad instructions ...if you dont get it let me know i maybe could give better instructions..also the inner nut the bigger one..goes one way i believe down..but not sure to loosen then the smaller one the wider nut goes in the opposite direction to losen ...you have to pull that round clip out or you will never get it off..hope this helps
