Thinking of going again on memorial weekend. I was very pleased with the performance of my bike last weekend. Before we head out i should have a cam and rev box so i can finish off the 450s

Im goin' to Little Sahara on March 25- April 1. I've never been. I live in Tennessee, so i have never even ridden sand before. I have a 400ex with razrs and i am little worried about the big hill climbs... I saw a 400ex w/paddles barely making it in some videos. Should be pretty fun though. Anybody goin' on March 25-April 1 look for big white F350, a Red 400EX #262, a Silver 426EX, and a YFZ450. We're staying in Alva...

You shouldn't have much trouble out there without paddles. The dunes really aren't that big. There are some hills in the trees that might give you some trouble, but only cause there aren't much room to get a run at them. I should be down there that weekend too.

If you've never been to the dunes, I would recommend camping out! Nothing like hearing 2 strokes out riding at 3am!

....you won't hear that in Alva

But like dude said, you will be fine on most of the hills. I would recommend running about 3-4psi in your razors to give you more tire on the sand. But I do believe you can rent paddles at Little Sahara Powersports.

Yepper...from LS Powersports there in camp. They're like $20/day, $50/3days...somewhere around there anyway.

i would deffinatly recommend getting some paddles whats going to the dunes without being able to drag race.

I found it was better to go down one tooth in the front sprocket as well, I wasn't able to hit 5th gear on the drag strip, and with the 14 (400ex) I was alot faster and it was less drag on the motor in the trails. just my 2cents. Z
I highly recommend paddles front and rear, it makes for a better time all around.

Yea I have a 14tooth in the front (down 1). I have 20 inch Razrs... its that better or worse...? I also need a flag (whip). I'll guess we'll get them at LS. Here's a pic of me at I-81 in Bristol

I say hi if i see ya.i'm not sure if i'm goin the 2 or 3rd week in march. i'll be with a bunch of 400ex's and a couple 300ex's a banshee and maybe a few utilitys. a white ford powerstroke dually is gonna haul the quads.
