can you use just regular 10w 40 oil in quads or do you have to buy that honda oil or oil like that? can i just go to wallmart and get some 10w 40 oil and use it? i hear that you can but you shouldnt because of the clutch?

i've ran Valvoline 10-40 in the Honda's listed in my signature for 3 years without any problems,,,there are lots of opinions on this, but i've never had any problems with auto oil,,, later

has anyone used royal purple, ive heard this is pretty good stuff. what thinkess should i run if it is safe

Dont run automotive synthetic oil its not good for wet clutch systems, because it contains molybdenum. Use a synthetic oil designed for wet clutches.

what do you guys think about the castrol start up oil i saw that on a comercial, just wondering if it might work on a 4-stroke quad??
