i see that the 450r's engine is a little more slide back on the frame,i mean their is a big open space between the front of the engine and the frame, does this effect anything on the quad,Besides looks lol

the further back and lower the motor the better. Look at the 250r's. i actually heard something that in the future, the 450r's motor will be re-positioned further back and lower. it all has to do with the center of gravity.

i'm not sure further back is such a good thing..........wouldn't it make the already light front end even lighter??

I read some where that if u lift just the back on the motor up a little it will make the geometry of the sprockets/ swingarm different and keep the front end down and make less traction!
I think I read that Farr and others all do that!!
I was thinking of doing this to mine!

just what i want...less traction!!!

hey, if you find out any information on this, please let me know!!! I would like to do the same. The 450 gets waaaaaaaaaay too much traction. I do alot of hill climbing, and it's essential to be able to slip the clutch and get wheel spin. When hill climbing, you DO NOT want to slip the clutch and get traction. That's the quickest way to the bottom.
