I have maier plastic (w/ headlights) on the front of my ex and I was wondering if there was anyway I could make the quad tech hood fit.

yeah, it's look like this, you have to cut off the whole light assembly.

I bought a plate made for this (switch and neutral light)
mounted it between the handlerbar clamps. similiar to what you get when you buy a lonestar stem and clamps.

I could sell you my hood that has the key switch integrated into the hood itself so no special mods would need to be made..let me know..

It is kinda dusty in the pics, but its only a few months old and has never seen any bad weather..Perfect condition. Cleans up awesome.

Where did you end up buyin your quad tech hood?.. alot of people on here dont know where the best place is or even where to get them. Im asked that question alot when I show my 400.. but i got mine off ebay.. i think this would help alot of people!!

I bought this hood from Quad Tech themselves..Talked with Bill Pointer over the phone and on email..I must say he was one of the best people I have ever dealt with..The hood ran me $170 + shipping..A Little high, but what I really wanted was the integrated ket mount wich nobody else offeres so to me the price was OK..

I just got my Quad Tech it didnt have a key mount in it? Weird I just put the key in the wire loom holder and used a ziptie to make sure it doesnt move worker pretty good.

Yes QuadTech actually stopped making them with the integrated mount in it..When I got mine Bill Pointer said it was the last one made that they still had in stock, but they would not continue to make them anymore because people were mostly just cutting them off anyways because alot of people stopped using their key switch anyways and there was no need for them anymore.
