how often do you change the oil and filter when breaking in a newly built (hi performance) motor?

Posted by: JDiablo

after every half tank of gas if your obsessed

Posted by: 99_300ex

ya but i would say maybe once or twice becuase there is prolly only a very limited group that changes it every tank of gas lol .

im thinkin about changin the oil and filter after the first tank, and then again after the second tank. then wait til about 2-3 more have been thru it to change it, then switch to synthetic

so after the first and second tank change it,then after the 2-3 tank, then switch to a synthetic>?

outsider what are your motor mods, lol

Posted by: chevy19

that sounds good cause u dont want to switch to synthetic to early cause you wont seat the rings right they said the more u let off the gas with rpm changes it saets the rings better

Outsider, what mods did you do to your motor now?
