i was out riding my R today and my fat boy silencer broke off the pipe, i mean just snapped right off. i knew it was goin to break off one day but it damn sure did today anyway i was riding around when it did this and as soon as i noticed i parked it.

Question is would this have hurt it if i keept riding with the pipe broke off. it was still there on the pipe just not in one piecer?

unless u rode it for a really long time....then it should be fine.

i rode my old blaster without the silencer for a few days. it ran hot and overheated finally and the piston melted to the cylinder. If you jet it for the non silencer, then u should be fine.

did the stinger break of the canister? thats where mine broke

Try taking a compression test and see if theres any significant diffrence from what it was before

Alright well thats cool i didn;t think it would hurt anything to keep it running but didn;t want to take a chance with it. but thanks guys

BTW the stinger did break off right where you was talkin about
