last one for now. I have more detailed pics of diff parts that i figured would be a waste to post.

Posted by: rap169

let me know what you think or if you have any questions.

Posted by: Jimford

that looks awesome!!! I am going to look at 450's today. Can I just ask how the heck you guys afford to do all those mods at once. You guy's are lucky. It took me a while to save for my exhaust for my 400 and I have a good job. How much do you have invested in your 450? It is definitely one of the best I've seen. Oh and I'm not trying to be rude. I seriously think your a lucky dude with that quad. Great job!!!

Posted by: Sportrax10

Wow, your 450r looks great!

Love the Hipers...

Go ahead and post the detailed pics of dif parts...

Posted by: Kilabanshee

Nice 450r! What is the axle extended out to? It looks like you could race both mx and xc with that setup.

Posted by: theTman

thts one of the nicest 450s ive ever seen.....good work man

Posted by: HiperEX

looks great cant wait to get one, checked some out at the dealer this morning. pretty good prices to

Posted by: rap169

Kilabanshee
axles is a lonestar +1, +3. In that pic its extended +3. I do plan on racing both mx and xc this season. Mainly xc, but i had the shock set up more for mx since i do alot of practicing on my clubs mx track. The a-arms are +1. Couldnt go any wider or id never fit on the xc tracks.

Jimford

thanks for the compliments. Yes its tough to pay for all that stuff. Lets just say i didnt spend any money on anything else for quite a while. I was actaully buying things a lil at a time since september. ANd when people asked me what i wanted for christmas, i gave them small quad parts ideas. That small **** can add up fast. Im still paying on the shocks and hipers on my credit card though.

Everyone else,
thanks for the great compliments. I will see if i can get some more pics up for you all to see. maybe some action shots if this damn snow would just melt

Posted by: Cody_300ex

Nice 450r man! Do any motor mods?

Yeah that was good thinking! I'm stuck with my +3 450r so xc really isn't even in my mind. I raced xc last year on my 400ex and did quite good in each race I did. I can still race one xc race which is very wide and consists of alot of flat turns, jumps, and wide woods sections. I may end up buying another front end so I can do both mx and woods racing. Good luck racing!

Posted by: rap169

motor mods are only the hrc kit sparks intake and hmf exhaust. What race is that you run with the wide front end?

Posted by: Kilabanshee

The xc race I'm able to run the wide setup is the flying dutchmen their site is www.flyingdutchmenmc.net I'm sure you know of this track. I may be racing on march 13th or 14th can't remember the exact date. I'll also be racing all the xc pa series races they hold.

Posted by: rap169

i will be at pine grove also on the 13th. hopefully there isnt too much snow. its prob gonna be one mussy race though.

Posted by: Kilabanshee

I'll see you there. Look for a red 450r carbon fiber hood #151. What class will you be racing?

Posted by: rap169

c class #61

Posted by: rap169

close up of the frame

Posted by: rap169

brake pedal faded from white to black

Posted by: rap169

kickstart lever polished and trans red done in the grooves. These pics didnt turn out too well. I should have got a better close up.

Posted by: rap169

shifter done the same way

Posted by: culookn

i like the rebuild your doing. does c&d use triple rate springs on the front or dual rate. and do they come that color or did you have to get them pc'd?

Posted by: Kilabanshee

Who did your powdercoating? That frame looks sick! I was looking into getting some work done after this years race season. What size tires are you running front and rear?

Posted by: rap169

yes its the c&d revalve. Triple fronts, dual rear. No the springs did not come that way. They were red bottoms before. I did all the small stuff like ths springs and such myself. THe only parts i sent out were the frame, steering stem, swing arm. They were done by a local place called gt fabrication. I would have done them myself if i had a larger oven.

The tires im running are 20x10x9 klaw XC rear, and 21x7x10 Klaw XC fronts. For mx, i have 18's Klaws for the rear and run the same fronts.

Posted by: exrider44

Your bike looks great.

Posted by: rap169

here is a pic of my custom temp light and kill switch plate. Its 1/4" thick aluminum and powdercoated white. I was gonan polish it, but i figured the pc would look good. I was thinkin bout making a few of these and putting them on ebay. I also have a pro design kill and i think it will bolt up perfectly also.

Posted by: rap169

first pic of this had no crossbar pad, here it is with the pad on. Looks pretty good in my opionion, and doest come close to hitting any thing when turning.

Posted by: WhiteBros400ex

Looks bad ***** i like it. let us know how she rides

Posted by: rap169

i cant wait to ride it..all this damn snow is driving me nuts

Posted by: ATVSpokesmodel

Mine is the same way rap169. If you lean into turns or anything they tend to dent in like that. I haven't seen one 450r with over 20 hours of trail/mx riding that isn't dented in slightly like that. Don't bother replacing it because the same thing will happen again.

Posted by: rap169

hmm, maybe thats possible. I may have hit it with my knee or something. YA im not gonna replace it. Its not noticable anyway

Posted by: ATVSpokesmodel

Dont you remember that time that nice sunny day when we...Ya thats how it got bent hahaha

Posted by: rap169

um NICE
well we will see how the suspension works out possilby this weekend at the flying dutchman harescramble in Pine Grove PA.
I will post a review on it for if i go.
