i dont know why but i cant get to the top of 6th on a straight away. Im not shure if it will eventually get there or if it wont but it seems to lose all power and i have to work the throttle real gradually to gte to speed. I have a bigger carb and i thought that was possibly why it takes a lot longer to get to top speed. IM not shure toug. Any ideas?

what year is it and how is the quad setup

Sounds like it is a combination of your gearing and your carb. If your gearing is not right you will hit 6th and it will not have anything left to get through the gear. The bigger carb may also cause the problem because wide open it is getting too much fuel and you get too far out of the powerband to use it. let us know what your gearing is and that will tell alot.

Lotsa R's fall a bit in 6th, you need a good motor to pull 6th gear hard

but I agree w/ ESR350r, let us know

i believe the gearing is all stock. The engine is also stock, i have v force reeds and a k&n, could it be that i have a 400ex throttle?

be sure the slide opens all the way , set it so the slides arch is flush w/ the top of the ventury of the carb when its WFO, anymore or less means the jetting wont be "true" to WFO
