My 400 is giving me some issues.. I put a HMF slip on and rejetted the bike.. I put a 160 main 3.5 turns out on air/fuel screw.. Also a 40 pilot.. I also cleaned the carb.. Now the bike doesnt wanna idle.. Itll start for a few seconds then shut off. Anyone have any suggestions?

is the bike fully warmed up? it may not want to idle if it is cold. also, is the idle adjustment high enough?

IM gonna check the idle adjustment again.. I had to disassemble it and put it back in. Its almost like its getting choked up?

Sounds like your overly rich.
Put in a new plug (yours probably has carbon deposits on it)
Turn your fuel screw to 2-2.5 turns out from seated.
Try it again. A 160 sounds a little high, but it could be right depending on what elevation your at.
make sure your choke isnt on.

DO you have the full hmf system or just the slip on?

when i first got my hmf i was really nervous when it didnt idle. i would get it started and rev the **** out of it to keep it going, blowing black smoke everywhere. turns out i had the choke on
moral of the story is to stay calm and look at the obvious things
