Ok guys, my 15 year old brother thinks we can put a 1989 ZX600 motor in a blaster frame. For those who dont know, the motor weighs around 150 with 65 hp. I tell him its ridiculous but he wont listen to me. What do you guys think?

i dont think the blaster chasis is big enough to hold such a big engine. i think you should just buy a raptor 660 and put some a arms and a swinger on it, would save you alot of work.

the raptor motor is way too tall, stick with a two stroke. blasters with yz250 motors are pretty sweet

Should'nt be to hard, just a little cuttin and weldin.

wouldnt be able to keep the damn thing on the ground...besides, im not sure if u'd want that big of an engine in a small sized blaster. idk if the blaster frame would be able to support the engine anyway

A friend of mine has a blaster with an old 600 (early '80s) in it and its uncontrollable. Its so short and builds tire speed so fast it'll spin around before you get a chance to get off the throttle.

Actually I think we are going to look for a trail boss or trail blazer cuz they are cheap and the frames are big. Well pry have the swingarm extended like 3 or 4 inches too. I'm hoping we wont have to lengthen or raise the frame to get the motor to fit.

LOL too funny when we bought our blaster it was in a box due to someone putting a KTM540 motor in it they chopped the hell outta the frame ect. we welded it back to better than new & put the 200 motor back in it!

Like someone else said you wouldn't be able to control it!!!!! They are soooooo short/compact that would be a SCARY ride

i think your wasting your time with the blaster frame. im putting a R6 motor in a raptor and thats going to be simple compared to puting it into a blaster. if you do get it in there i hope the frame will hold together. and you might want to think about atleast a +8" swingarm. good luck though.

This post is pretty old. We do have the 600 and its for sale. We didnt take the time to put it in anything. Its a 1989 ninja 600 motor with only like 10000 miles. Puts out around 85 hp. Make an offer.

My friend put a built 250r motor in a blaster frame and it kept breaking the frame. A zx6 motor is probably around 100hp and will destroy the frame I would say it is a total waste of time.
