their is a little oil leaking around were i guess you would call it drive shaft...the thing that the sproket goes on...its not much oil but it concerning me...what do you think it could be? would i have to have the case split to replace the thing around it i guess the brearing? sorry if i sound like a dumb *** but i am building this r and am nearing completion and ran into this

replace the seal around the counter shaft. No you do not have to split the cases to do this

Be sure to replace the collar that rides on the seal and the o-ring behind it. A new seal on a grooved collar won't seal very well.
