Clutch cover and Kick starter

I am working on my motor and got a new clutch cover but it does not fit. It must be an 87-89. I have the large spacer on the kick start shaft. The manual says only a washer....does that work? What size is the washer or does someone have a Honda Part number? Service Honda does not show it on their site. Any help would be great! My motor is basically a 1986...most of the parts anyways.
Thanks

i got a polished cover off ebay for my 86 and when i went to put it on there was a pretty decent gap. had to machine down the spacer that was in there so that the cover would fit on. just do not take off too much or else you are in trouble. I guess that could work in the other way too that you may beed a larger spacer.

Right Crankcase Cover
1986 1987 1988 1989
Cover, Comp., Right Crankcase

86-87 11340-HA2-670

88-89 11340-HB9-770

Besides the color change, the right case received a built in spacer to keep the kick starter gear in place. Both cases feature slightly different mounting boss designs.

Thats the case part #, not sure on the washer #

The official word from Honda is that the washer shownj in their service manual is a misprint. The clutch covers with the spacer built in need no washer or spacer, the ones without need the large spacer that is shown in their idagrams.. Go figure!
