Hey brad is that the only way a steering stabilizer mounts on a 300? I have the oil cooler sitting right there now, so one or the other would have to be relocated.

About the guy who posted his 300ex with a out-n-back rack. Were the grab bar connects to the light assembly it is lose and will fall out. The same thing happend to me me and just for those plastic parts it wasent cheap. so i would sugest a zip-tie just incase it comes off. Mabe some super glue would hold it. It seems good but it happend to both me and my friends 300's

I bought a custom mount on ebay so that the shocks would fit the right way. and the a-arms are +2

sorry i dont have any other pics rite now, ill try to get some more once i finish putting everything back on, and the yfz shocks were my brothers, he got axis shocks so i just took the stock ones

Did anyone else notice the 450R a-arm thing? I would really like to see pics because I just dont believe it. They are too wide to fit on the 400's so I dont see how you could put them on a 300, without modification, and thus making the install pointless. Please prove me wrong and post some pics bud

i had to cut the brackets off and move um up about an 1 1/2 .46 inchs wide and gained about an inch foward.
I was trying to get 400s but could not find none and when i did they either went to high or were already sold.

Ok so better performance than The PEP or TCS shocks that were MADE for his quad? You're just going to end messing up your quad from running shocks that may seem work well on your quad but are really hurting it. I think roostin definitely have one of the sickest 250's/300's on this site. He also isnt running a POS fmf on his

Chunk690's quad inst but a stock 300ex with some yfz shocks! Roostin's quad has a Sparks built motor, TCS shocks, Roll/IMS pegs, Hipers, Fullbore plastics, Maxxis razers, Nac's, that chit IS the best of the best! Not some rigged up YFZ shocks and a front bumper.

EXACTLY!!! Chunk..when you get rid of that FMF and decide to buy a real exhaust then you can think about talking about your quad. When you mess your quad from those shocks you will WISH that you had roostin's setup!

Thats coming right from Jeff Stoess...the Suspension PRO!! I can give you the link to the thread if you dont believe me. The guy had YFZ shocks on a 250x.

looks dont mean **** once it hits the track/trail they dont mean anything on the track and tral but your quad still need to tbe hott if you guys are gonna brag and see whos is better get inot the motor mods and i belive roostin has a trick motor not very sure.

Yes my motor was sent off to sparks for all the works....Stroked, bored, mx cam, stiffend valve springs w/ titanium retainers, stiff clutch springs, sparks clutch plates, Port and polish, hardend rocker arms, sparks x-5 exhaust, sparks rev box etc. etc....strong motor!

Front Beadlocks are useless, I take it you have never blown a front tire off the bead???
Worthless steering stem, You telling me you have not bent your stock stem yet???
Foot pegs, Can you race with out your feet on the pegs, stockers get slick when balled up with mud! Stock yfz shocks are way better than tcs, Your cracking me up buddy!

and yes, derreks 250x owns your silver 300ex, but then again his owns mine too right? i think it does, he doesnt have much more than mine, but what he has i sure wish i did. im runnin works front and rear with a +2 front end and all that other stuf

Hey Derrek, what kind of a-arms are those? They look pretty tough. I been thinking about getting the LSR setup once I get my 450R finished, but I haven't really decided yet. Right now though I'm getting ready to drop some cash and get the AC nerfs, bumper, and grab bar, the Roll/IMS pegs, Sparks pipe and prolly a set of IMS heelgaurds. I been measuring it out and I think that the Z400 heelgaurds oughtta fit, or at least be pretty close(got a Z400 in the garage with AC propegs on it). Got a Maier 250R hood on it's way right now. All I can say is mine's certainly come a long way since I bought, for $1,000.

Is it just me or do 300ex's with cut fenders just look...weird. I don't know...something about them just doesn't look right....Maybe if the front was alot wider and the rear was lower it would look better...but I don't know....anyone else think that?

The header was on it when I bought it. I think it was a Supertrapp header. Although I bored the inlet and smoothed it out. I'm also going to have it slightly bent, so it'll kick up just a bit more, and have it chromed. As for power output, I'm not sure. I don't think I've ever ridden a stock 300. I do know with the jetting, pipe, filter, and gearing/tire combo, it's pretty damn fast for a stock motor. I usually ride with some guys that ride Z400's that are piped, jetted, and run cdi's, and can keep up with them to an extent. Top speed they still have me, but it's close until then.
