what sprocket combo should i run on my 86 250r? i ride trails, xc, etc. so what should i go with in the front and back?

i would go 14 front and 36 rear
the larger front helps againt chain rollover
the smaller rear helps against smashing on a rocks
you will need a longer chain ...go with a rental there worth the $ the dont strech like some others do !

14 36, thats a little tall. I run a 13 39 setup.

13 39 is a very good set up for woods, XC, and trails.

How about for speed on sand? 14 39???

sand i would gear it down, run 12-38, normal stuff a 13-39 or 13-40 i couldnt imagine running a 14-38 or taller with out havin a 300cc engine. 14-36 is almost the same as 13-39 ive never heard of it helping with chain rollover or anything though, and i use to run a 12 tooth front with no prob.
