Im trying to jet my bike. I removed th ebaffle and air lid and put in a zip ty screw. Well, I put in a 48 pilot from a 45 and the needle is in the 6th clip from the top and I still have to go about 3 1/2 turns out to get it to stop popping really bad. Im in South jersey at sea level and today was 50 outside but I think a 50 pilot would be way too much. The spark plug looked tan at the porcelin part but has carbon built up around the outside, any suggestions?

well i dont think you had to go to a 48. You could have jetted it to rich. i would put a 45 pilot, 5th clip and on a 168 or 170. just a guess though
