+2" or +2.5" Houser a-arms?

Hello:
Is there any difference really between the +2" or +2.5" houser a-arms on the YFZ, if you have axis shocks? I guess you would be able to lower your quad a little more with the +2.0" and still be within a 50" width.

A +2 houser front end uses a differnt shock 17.5". you want a +2.5 front end, uses 18.5" shocks. I didn't think houser makes the +2 anymore.

All Houser LT a arms for the YFZ use 18.5" shocks. the .5, the 2" amd the 2.5". The difference is the +2" will get you to 50" w the std 3+2 offset wheels while the 2.5" will require a 4+1 offset to get you at about 49" wide but will reduce bump steer.
And Houser is still making the 2" a arms.

In 2003 houser started making the first a a rms for the YFZ, they were plus 2 and used 17.5 inch shocks, I bought a set, had axis shocks for them, Then they came out with +2.5 and they used 18.5 inch shocks. I bought that set which I now have. They also made a +3 inch a arm that used a 19.5 inch shock. I t made the bike over 50 inches though. They had came to the conclusion last time I talked to them that the 18.5 " set up was the way to go. That makes since that they have the different sizes +.5,+2,+2.5, using the same shocks now. The original +2 with the shorter shocks were just not the "hot ticket" if you know what I mean.

How do you like the +2.5 houser arms with the 18.5" axis shocks? I am thinking of running this? Do have alot of variety in adjusting the height of the quad without going past the 50" limit. Any negatives in this setup? thanks

you got it ml450, the shorter shocks had to be dual rate and Houser quickly made their arms w longer shocks. A friend of mine bought the arms that needed 17.5 shocks and a few weeks later they switched it up to run a triple rate. He was a little ticked.

I have pep shocks now. the arms and shocks work great though, I have no complaints. Houser makes good stuff IMO.

I have Housers 2.5 front end and I'm getting my Axis in the mail today so I'll let you all know how I like the set after the weekend.
I currently have a borrowed pair of PEPs now and with 4-1 offset wheels I really like this set up for MX.

I like Houser but why dont they make the +3, I may go with a different company that makes +3.

Because with 3/2 offset wheels it would put you over 50in wide and wouldn't be allowed for MX. I think even with 4/1 it's too close.
If this isn't a concern to you then you can get +3 from someone else.
