I'm thinkin about buyin a 300ex for my son. I've heard some 400ex parts, (a-arms), will work on a 300ex.
Lookin for info on what parts fit and what mods it takes to make them fit.
I'd try the search but really don't know what to search for.

A lot of folks use the 400ex arms, but you'll find that most say you get a ton of bumpsteer when you put them on a 300ex. Do a search and you'll see. Some that do it put 400ex shocks on with a new upper shock mount too. Others get custom shocks and use the stock upper mounting points. I think the overall feeling is to use aftermarket a-arms and shocks valved for them.
A 400ex carb is also put on the 300 from time to time, I'm in the middle of the conversion now, with quite a few other mods and motor work. I am also putting a 2001 Raptor shock on the back.. they say that makes a big difference. Finally, if you like it quiet and are a welder, you can put a 400ex muffler on the 300ex. The muffler weighs quite a bit less and you get rid of the tiny little s-pipe on the front of the stock 300 muffler. Do a search for 400ex muffler and you'll see what to do to the stock 400ex muffler to make it flow. Good Luck.
