whats wrong with my axle?

i was riding today and i noticed that my axle was moving inside the swing-arm, the axle is not bent but if it is raised you can put your hands on it and move it back and forth. wats wrong with it? anybody know? thanks for any help

you need new carrier bearings.

are they expensive?

the Bearings are about $20 each X 2
the seals are about $10 each X 2
if you let it go to long you may need a new carrier( about $150.)

Sounds like the perfect time for an aftermarket bearing carrier and bearings. Look to ebay, I got an AJC dual row, for $122 to my door. Even has a remote zerk.

you can get the bearings and seals for like $20 or cheaper shipped off of ebay.
