Thats about what I heard, summer of 05. I would think they would be getting close. Anybody know if kawi is going to have one too, like the z400, kfx400? I figured since they were the same company they would but havent heard a word about a kawi one.

kawie and suzuki are NOT the same company, they just did the z/kfx the same to try and make more money that way. word has it that the Z450 will be out mid-summer or so. I doubt kawasaki will have a 450 quad out soon because they dont even have 450 dirtbike out yet. since suzuki recently released the 450 bike we can expect to see the 450 quad soon

kawi has plans for a 450 quad it is already said that the oil will be feed through the frame and it will be kick start

I heard from a Rep. of suzuki that it will be released mid year/summer 2005....

Cant wait to see jones and Gust on one...

WRONG!! kawasaki does have a four stroke MX bike already released in japan, and supposively its a strong runner too

Yep i saw that too.

Also if they are going to be feeling the oil threw the frame, they better have one damn strong frame for this release, any cracks or weaknesses will be a bad thing for that quad

From what I have heard, the probable timeline will be a summer unveiling and a release date late in the year for availability in the 2006 race season.

In the december 03 atv action there is a pic of suzuki having a meeting with the editors about the z450's final form.There are 6 pics of prototypes on the table but they are too small,all that i can make out is that it sits very low and has rad scoops.I'm going to scan this pic and try to post it,maybe someone can enhance it.

Hopefully not. Both are worthless and make for a lazy driver. The 450 is hopefully going to be a ready to race bike. None of that crap.

It will have electric start and fuel injection , but no reverse.

does the 450 bike have fuel injection? nope. the motor in the quad is 90% for sure going to be based on the 450 bike so dont hold your breath for fuel injection.

If it does thats awesome. I just dont think they would go that far right now. If the bike motor had it then I would go for the quad having it, but you know the quad motor will be based on the bike motor just like the other two 450's. I dont see them changing the bike motor that much. Then the bike riders would be pissed until they got it too. I just dont see it happening on this quad, but if it does then thats great.

The only way i can see it having efi is if it was started to be built at the same time as the rmz450 wicth would be why it is taking longer.

4 speed tranny? i hope not... unless it has a WIDE powerband, 5 speeds ain't enough for some of us.
