Clearcoat over powdercoating???

I just got my frame back from getting powder coated Translucent Blue. It doesn't seem to be as strong as I thought. When tightening bolts on the frame its cracking the powder coat. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to clear coat it myself?

Thanks, I think I'll try it. I just don't know if it would take the translucent look away. Maybe I'll do the underside of the frame as a sample.

If anything the clear should give your frame more of a shine. If you have ever painted or seen a car painted the base coat is a flat color, most the shine a car has in it's finish is from the clear.

Anyone have any idea's on what kind of clear coat should I use? Would the spray can clear coat work ok?

I'd ask Pappy to be sure, or maybe he may have something to recomend...he seems to be the powdercoat guru on the forum. I dont know too much about powdercoat, but I didnt think it was supposed to even crack or chip at all, but I could be wrong about that.
