I need to know if a LT230 Quadsport cylinder will work on a LT250 Quadsport. I know the head will, as I have a 230 head on the 250.

Does anyone know what the difference is between a 250 and 230? From what I understand, the bore was bigger, but the stroke was the same.

im not sure but i could have swore that the lt250 was 2 stroke and that the 230 was 4 stroke but i might be wrong.

He's talking about the LT250S. The 250 quadsport was made in '89 & '90. It has different plastic, a different seat, different exhaust, and differences in the motor. I bought one for my wife, they are hard to find parts for. I PM'd you.

i used to have a 230! from what i understand the 230 and 250 motors are identical besides the bore and the 230 is an auto clutch

Found some more info. The 250 Quadsport is not really even a 250, it's a 280cc! Same bore and stroke as the King Quad 300! Which is 2.5mm bore over the 230 Quadsport and 9mm stroke over the 230 Quadsport. 76mm stroke which means these things could be rod chunkers at high rpm. Keep the revs down on the 250 Quadsport!! Also the 230 with auto clutch is a Quadrunner not a quadsport.
