Well, last night I finished puting on my 250r hood. Thanks Drifterx and all the guys who posted how to's on that mod btw! Well, now that the hood is on I need a nice looking, comfortable, but still affordable set of aftermarket bars lol, the stock ones are super ugly. My question is, What are most of the 300 riders using for bars, and around what kind of prices did ya pay? Lol and while Im typing Ill go ahead and ask this as well...What would be a good set of sand tires to use on the 300? I know from reading here that alot of brands out there that will slow me down. The only performance mods Ill have on the bike while running sand is HMF slip on, jet kit, UNI filter, and with some advice form you guys, maybe change a sproket or 2? LOL.

I have Renthal CR Hi Fatbars and a trail tech riser. I think the fatbars are about 40 from RockyMountainATV and the trail tech riser is about 50-60. It feels realy good to me and looks super sweet. I got 18 inch rear tires and 19 inch front, all MX style, and red label rear and black label front. I love my 300, the only thing I need now is a set of red maier race cuts.

Glad it turned out good for ya man! If ya get some pics, post em! I got the MSR CR High bend hanlebars. They look amazing, are really strong, and were only 35 bucks.

Yes, I have several pictures actually..I'll post em as soon as I get em up and hosted someplace. That will probably be when I get home tonight LOL. Drifterx, are there any pics of youre quad on here that show the bars in any detail?

The picture of the top of the hood is kinda bad, but I wanted to show that I relocated the neutral/reverse indicator lights, as well as the key switch to the top of that hood. If anyone else needs some help doing this, I can post what tools I used, and I also have a picture of how much plastic I had to cut off the tank shroud..I know someone on this forum had asked about how much and what spot had to be cut. LOL I made sure I took alot of pics lol.

The hood was a new Maier 88-89 250r hood in black, got it from Rockymountainatv.com, as most of the guys here did. They shipped it pretty fast, and I payed around 40 bucks shipped. You should also know I didnt use the hardware that came with the hood, I went to a local hardware store and bought a small sizes bolt and washer kit, which total was about another 5 bucks. On a side note, lol I used some zip ties to hold the fenders in place where I wanted em while I marked/drilled the holes. Ill post the pics I took of the tools I used, and the section of the tank shroud I cut away. 300exrolla
