I saw an idea where a guy put a Tirefly in a plastic holder and then mounted on the top of his whip... So why not just mount the Tirefly with a set screw on the whip.. For $8.00 and a set screw you're set.. It seems to work good too..

I used electrical tape and mounted a red/white/blue tirefly to my whip - it was awesome......I pointed mine down so you could see it easier.....also....mine was dysfunctional....it blinked all the time - not with just motion.....was great!!!
