There may be several ways to do it on a z, but here's the way I did it. The longer wire gets connected to the black wire w/ the white stripe going into the coil. Just connect it to that wire using a saddle type connector. Then ground out the short wire to a bolt on the frame.

find the coil on the bike that is wear u hook it up to then gound it to a bolt on the fram thats how i did mine easy just strippin the wire was hard lol.
