i have an 03 kfx 400 and i was wondering what would happen if i put 400ex shocks on it i heard that i would lower it and if it dose by how much?

not a very good idea...

the shocks are 100% absolutly the same

Posted by: rollie

no, there not the same...the KFX's are 1/4th inch longer and there not set up right for a 400ex....because the geomonttey is different and both quads dont wiegh the same...

It brings the front end down a little bit and the front feels more harsh. Not worth it.

Jeff@thequadshop would be know.

Not that I know any different but the shocks I am not sure would make a huge differnce The a-arms would actually change the geometry the shocks however should just drop it down about a 1/4 to a 1/2.

The shocks would not make that much difference I do not think, think being the key word here. A kfx dry weight is 373 and a trx dry weight is 375. 2 pounds heavier is not going to change the geometry. That could be lost in rider weight!

But like I said ask Jeff or even Santo they could tell you better.
