I wanna mount a full chassis skid to the bottom of my R. The only problem is i have an aftermarket PRP Frame and there are no mounting Holes. Someone told me I can get a clamp sorta thing has anyone ever done this??? If so Can you advise me please? Thanks

just use a u-bolt

if it has clamps you should be able to use it, does this prp frame have no bolt holes on the side of the frame near the engine? like the two bolts in this picture? if not the clamps should work if theres no clamps u bolts will work but i would reccomend using the FLAT type u bolt and put the u bolt through and use a braket to hold the u bolt on. other wise youll bend the bolt tips and it will be hell to take off.

Armadillo sells one that is held on by clamps, doesn't bolt into the frame at all.

I got the armadillo off of ebay for about $80. Also, AC racing uses the same setup.

I fab'd my own skid plate and also used 1/4" thick 1" flat stock steel plates that sat on top of frame and ran countersunk-head 1/4-20 machine screws with self-locking nuts up through the plate that I had drilled countersunk holes in..
I placed these right behind the front bumper, behind steering stem area, and (2) at the rear on each side.
I painted the plates to match the frame .
