its not an ex but its still a 250. had complete pipe, k&n, jetkit, widened front and rear, custom grabber, shockcovers, handguards, frt bumper, buncha polished stuff, etc.

flipped front rims(drums instead of disc so no caliper for stem to hit.) and then i got 2.5 inch wheelspacers in rear. i jumped that thing on 25 ft tabletops and rode topped out and didnt have a problem.

i saw that u have the baffle takin out of urs..ever smell like somethings burning?? i love the sound of it out, but i almost burnt up my valve once and since then i haven't takin it back out

i've had it taken out now for almost 4 years, haven't had a problem w/ it at all....but no it hasn't ever smelled like something was burning, how did u find out that u about burnt up your valve,

well, i ordered a jet kit and took it into the local honda shop cuz i didnt know how to install it at the time, and when i picked it back up they asked me if i had my baffle out at any time, so i told them yes and they said well its good u put it back in, cuz ur valve just about went..they told me it loses too much compression by having it out...im not sure how they found out(about my valve), but thats what they told me

possibly, but idk..cuz one of my riding buddies has a bone stock 250ex and he's had the baffle out since he got it in '01 and hasnt had any problems with it....

duhhh you havnt heard of the new plastacoating? they heat it up until the plastics turns to liquid then they add the powder and it chemicaly mixes and shapes itself into laker custom, fullbore, or maier style plastics depending on what youd like. its only the coolest thing ever

alright, update on my 250....just ordered my dg nerfs, should be here next week...gettin a job two weeks from now, as i turn 15...so money will be rollin in for durablue axle and front spacers...next is white bros e series and tether kill switch, then i'll be ready to hit the track in the spring

I love that first pic. In the headlight place i now have a polished aluminum peice that I made to fit it, instead of black AC thing. I also have renthal bars that my buddy mooched off of me when he bent his.. But they are some good pics, I really like the 400ex handle bar cover vs. the stock grey thing that the key switch, choke nuetral & reverse lights were mounted in. Wanting to sell too!!?? I still have most stock parts. handle bars, pipe, headlight, bumper.

There ya go i changed the last pic, at this time i was in the middle of changing the front brakes and since the caliper was off i flipped the front rims to make it wider. I have the front brakes back on and its back to stock width, i really liked it a lot better with the front rims flipped.

that powroll kit is nice. it's worth the money powroll also makes a vented valve cap for the 250, don't know if it's worth it but i might get it. it's only like $30.

omg dude, it may not be powdercoated, but it is black....it looks "white" in the front maybe its a glare from outside, cuz i've talked to him before and he said it was in his garage, isnt it possible that the door is open and it was sunny outside? just a thought

i wonder if an aftermarket hood for a 300ex would work on a 250...if u take the headlight out and shave down the plastic where the headlight was, i think it would work..anybody else think of this?

some body said they have seen a couple of 250exs with 400ex plastic and dude i whant the 300ex motor so i can race in the same class plus if you change it to chain drive you just need to change the motor when you get better

NO 400ex fenders will not fit they are to skinny in the midsection to go on a 250. I've tried it. TO the person wanting to put a 300ex motor in a 250ex it could be done I'm sure but with some hella work, time, and money. You would need to beef up suspension all the way around. easier just to buy a 300 you can find them pretty cheap.

correct me if im wrong but...
i dont think there is any other swing arm that will fit a 250ex or a company that makes one. so with that said it is impossible to make a 250ex chain drive.

and as for you seeing a 250ex with 400ex plastics, it was probablly a 250r or a 250x im guessing

i know this was posted over a year ago, but i gotta ask. who do they have workin there that told ya that? that is a bunch of bs, your valve cant just start to go and then be fixed and all good again by putting the baffle back in. its either bad or good. your not gonna loose compression from running with out back preesure, that only affects 2 strokes. the only way you could burn the valve is by not rejetting. look at most after market exhausts, there pretty much strait thru. you should have asked him what he had your complete exhaust off for anyways to look at the valve. not callin you a liar, just hate how theyll try and bs people about stuff like that.

acctualy honda puts them on backwards. the black plastic covers the shock shaft. thats in the top on a stock machine so they are on upsidedown from the factory. and yes the 18' are an easy fit on the stock rim.
