Ok I have installed a HMF slip on, Alba kn adapter with filter, air bix lid and snorkle removed. I have jetted my carb to a mikuni 165 main. 2 turns out on my fuel screw. Now, when I start the quad cold it idels fine. But the fan kicks on in about 5 min. So is that indicating that my piolet is lean. Now, with the quad ideling, if i take and slowly revive the quad up little by little it hits 3/4 good...wide open it slows, so that must mean that im lean. But I took my plug out and lokked at it and it was dark brown. The temp here is 30 deg. and my elevation is 1900'. any tips or advice?

are you running aftermarket head pipe?
if so id get one
you may be slightly lean
when did you jet it because it has to be jetted for winter
