250ex same as 300ex?

I used to have a 300ex but I have never seen a 250ex so I am wondering about part interchangeability. Are the frames the same?

thier not the same at all, the only thing thats the same is the hand grips and maby at that.

the only thing that will interchange is rims because all hondas have the same bolt pattern. as far as the engine and suspension and stuff, i dont think anything will interchange

a 250x and 300ex will interchange almost all parts, but a 250ex is a totally different machine

the frames are close to the same the only diff. is a little tab coming down by the batt. for a electic box and a mount for the batt. on the 300.I put a 250x frame under a 300ex for a guy and just welded them pieces on the new frame

uhhh i dont know about that..the 250EX is ALOT smaller also i believe the 300ex frame is made from square tubing while the 250 is round...but i could be wrong

yz426ex36 is talking about the 250x and 300ex being the same. they are, i just put a 300ex into my 250x frame and welded a tab on for the battery box. The 250ex is a whole different frame, not related to a 250x/300ex

i have a 250x steering stem in my 300. look on ebay, do a search for 300ex parts and look at the ads, most of the time it says 250x/300ex because they are very similar. im not sure exactly how but i know the stem is same.
