nuthin can go wrong with the frame cause its a 400ex frame and shocks. No effence i like it i would get yelloe then you could say it was a yellow 400ex lol.

Wow, didnt know it came in white! I would get yellow, it is a suzuki, and they should just be yellow. Now lets see how much I get flamed for a yellow honda...oh boy.

*edit: I noticed they changed some stuff on the newer model. Notice the graphics, foot guards, plastic piece by the handlebars, lower a-arms, and front bumper.

there is absolutely no similairity in the suzuk frame and the 400ex frame.
and just a little inside info on this machine.it is and was completely developed by the kawasaki engineers.they used the drz 400 motor because it was already in production.
and thats why you will be seeing kawasaki versions of this early this year also.don't think that they will look exactly the same with just different plastic colors.cuase you will see when they come out that they will look totally different from each other.
the companies might have a a joint venture but they do have to keep thier products different.
by the way the white suzuki looks great thats the way i would go.

If you get white you will spend hours getting out mud stains, thats if you want a have decent quad

The white doesnt stain that bad...it only takes one wash, just like any other color to get te mud out of it. Atleast thats the way it is on the banshee...

white plastic is the best plastic to have.it looks better longer then any other color.it's the only color that hides scratches and stress marks.and it never dulls or gets faded.

Again the white quad will not be available right away. According to my sources not until June or July. Also I had a white warrior and it wasn't that hard to keep it clean. It is just like anything else wash it when you are done and you won't have a problem.

I agree on the easy to keep looking nice part, I have owned 2 white quads in the past. I am just saying that where your boots go (under the seat and close to the rear fenders) you get that ugly ground in brown. Some times it is worse then others.

then again if you are that worried about keeping your quad looking new then you aren't riding hard enough. My solution get both plastics and just switch them to match your mood.

I'll have to talk to my dealer and see when they are getting the white one in. If I get to impatient i'll just get yellow and maybe buy some white fullbore or the stock plastic in white.

What would be the point of Kawasaki coming out with a quad with the same engine? Why don't they use one of theirs? Is their gonna be improvments over the Suzuki? Just seems like a dumb idea. Where are your sources?

From what I have read and spoke to a dealership about. Kawi's will not be out till next year. It will use a 400 cc motor, not the drz motor, but similar. Using alot of the same features, but not being the same overall. Of course this is all speculation from the dealer, but he swears early next year to expect something.

I have heard that kawasaki made the frame using the drz engine, because it was already available (they planned to use a similar engine, but used suzuki's for prototype). When the merger came about, kawi had the quad built for suzuki already. Expect the frame to have some similarities to a roll.

go with the white. and when kawsaki comes out with thiers you can bet that there will be differences in the machine to make it different then the suzuk.

no there different cars just look at the emblem!

these two companies have missed the boat and are trying to catch up. i welcome new bikes. it helps all of us when more companies compete. they are forced to create better faster machines to keep up. but when two companies create basicaly the same bike i have to think competition is lost.

there not setting new standards like the ex did in 99 and ds did and the raptor did. there instead trying to cash in on a market opened by the ex . i hope this bike is great and forces the competition to react with better machines. but im not gonna hold my breath.

That would be sweet if Honda react and makes a whole new bike to compete. Alot of the engines that are in quads are already in bike, and the ones that r'nt semm to have slight edges in power characteristics. I think it would be cool for all companies to have a 400-440 type quad and a big CC desert type racer like the DS or the crapturd. Also everybody seems to be looking the other way when it comes to new high performance 2-smoke machines. I think Bombardier or C-dale rare more likely to make a 2-smoke machine than Honda, Kawasaki or Suzuki.

Every one knows that the 400ex is the best quad on earth. and second would have to be the 300ex. You should skrew the z400 and get a 400 ex. on the z400 the plastick behind the foot peg will crack and your foot will slip and you will have to get stiches on your shin.

Shut up Scot. I'm not jayson. The only person to have enough skill to hurt himself on a 90. Since you people wern't there. (Jsyson) Went off a jump that u get 6ft. distance, 4-5ft air and somehow his foot got sucked under the wheel(there is no plastic behind it) and landed on the peg w/ his shin. He got like 4 stiches. And earlier he was riding my 1974 Honda minitrail 70 and i sped up and did a 180 on gravel and instead of going around me; he slammed on the brakes and ditched it. His hand was bleeding and his knee. What an idiot, he also doesn't know what atv he has. (its a fourtrax 300 4x4) long story-but he's an idiot

Yeah. I wish Honda would come out with a new atv soon. Something w/ the fetures of the Z but having the Honda name & reliabilty.

I didnt realize it , but there is alot diff with the new ones besides color... what was stated, and there are a few differences in motor(cosmetic diff. )

First impression was from photos. Hands down, white one better.
Second impression, in person, yellow better, hands down. Weird. I love my yellow now. When they first came out, I was very disappointed as I wanted the white bad, but was not going to wait another minute, so we got a pair of Killer Beez, I mean, Z's.
