Why does everyone care about how fast their bike will go??
As long as mine has the *ss to make all the hill climbs I do and the speed to clear the jumps I hit I'm happy. I don't need to know if it's fast enough to pass cars on the interstate. You shouldn't be on the roads anyway. That usually pisses people off and adds one more person to the list that gives atvs a bad name. In the woods and track u don't even need 5th gear. It's fast enough to do about anything you want.

dude i hit 5th gear in the woods all the time through trails, its fun as he11! I dont know how slowyou like to go.

Posted by: 450 Racer R

I rarely get past third... After that it's just

Posted by: kazpr

Ya most all of our local MX tracks if you are hitting 3rd gear pinned you will not walk normal for awhile

5th gear in some trails would be insane if the trails are open enough to allow it!!

Posted by: Jersey450R

there is this trail near my house and i always hit 5th and hit this jump. you fly far but not high. 450racerR you know what i'm talking about...across the street

Posted by: 450 Racer R

yeah, the trails here are nothing like what they're talking about though.

Posted by: ohguy79

It's pretty tight where we ride. Were normally climbing hills not flying out open trails. Alot of old strip pits. But, my point was does it really matter exactly how fast your going. They are fast.

Posted by: Jersey450R

yea i know what you mean. yo, what happened to you this weekend? next weekend, i think i'm going up to fort mott with hammertrx and that guy with the JRD450. he said its an unbeleivable place to ride.

Posted by: 450 Racer R

motion didn't have any of the jets I needed and they were giving me a hard time cause I had my DHY shirt on I'll be out this weekend, hopefully it won't be too cold out. I wanna start building an mx track

Posted by: Jersey450R

dude, that open spot at "you know where" (not creek) would be a great place. that dude with the yfz has incredible skills when it comes to building jumps. you should have seen the jumps we made on his farm...nuts! yea thats a good idea, a nice winter project, haha.
