well i post this every year when it starts to get cold because i don't wanna see everyones seat covers gettin ruined when they cost 100$...

seat covers will crack in the winter if they are the hard plastic style that come with graphic kits... the material will get cold and crack... it don't happen with just one brand either it happens WITH EVERYONE!!!!!!!! so take ur seat covers off and put the stokc one back on... if not ur seat will look like this...

this is after 15 mins of riding in cold weather...

how cold is cold? lol...i see you are from pennsylvania... and i dont think it gets as cold here in bama as it does up there.

Posted by: Tommy 17

i've seen it happen in the 40 degree and below range...

if my friend with a blaster was to get a nacs seat cover, which he allready has a nacs graphics kit, would that also crack during the winter. it doesnt look like its glossy like yours. just wondering.

Posted by: alberndt

I've never seen this happen but thanks for the heads up.

Posted by: Tommy 17

the nacs won't crack if its made out of a fabric material which i think they are... it'll only crack if its made out of the hard glossy plastic on the sides...

Posted by: JDiablo

thanks for the info tommy

Posted by: chucked

yep, happened to mine, They start cracking as soon as its cold enough to need a jacket to ride...

Posted by: rollie

man that sucks.....ill rember not to get one of those type of seat covers

Posted by: Pvt. Maggot

thats just cuz tommy got happy on his seat cover and made it brittle

j/k...good info..you think they would test those in cold weather.

I have the Nacs seat cover and live in frigid *** Ohio. The nacs isnt plastic, its non slip on top, with tacky fabric in the front. The sides are vynil if Im not mistaken and not plastic like the Factory FX or Ceet or any of those...

Posted by: logan

that happened to me with my Ceet flames seatcover

Posted by: Tommy 17

i went out and bought a stokc honda 400ex seat... it was a complete seat for 50$!!!!! takes me 2 mins to switch the seats over...

Posted by: big_poppa49

Is the Klotz seat cover made out of the glossy plastic?

Also, just how hard is it to change a seat cover??

Its not hard, or you could do what I do... I just put my Nac's cover OVER the stock seat cover. It fits just fine, and if you want to ever take it off like for the winter, you could just take the aftermarket one off and youd be ready to go...

Just put on a Factory effen-ex cover. cost 30 bucs cause I could not get staples in the plastic or stretch the plastic crap. The place that did it said it was a beotch!! I now remember reading your post on this..too late.
