turn key off, quad stays on

well i was riding through some trails last night and stopped for a while. I turned the key off and my quad stayed running.
The kill switch didnt work either. I looked at it today and found a wire leading to the kill switch was broken. everything else seems ok. Would this wire have anything to do with the key not being able to turn the quad off when running? It starts but then i have to kill it by dumping the clutch.

i wont have time to mess with it until next weekend so if you thing its something other than the kill switch wire being broken let me know. thanks

Yes, butt splice the wire back together with some shrink tubing over it.

Prolly the ground wire, Just like above, re-connect it. Di-electric grease will aid in corrosion resistance.
