All,
I just finished the first year of the Parts Unlimited Off Road Motorcycle and ATV Nationals (OMA Nationals). This is a really good series to race. All the races were a blast. They range from Oklahoma to Ohio with the majority of the races centrally located around Illinois.

This series is not as big as the GNCC yet. You don't have to wait in line for an hour for sign up. They also have a pre sign up where if you do that you get a free T-shirt. There is no sound check either so you don't have to worry about what pipe you are using.

Their current ATV classes are Pro, B, C, Women, and utility. If they get a huge turnout they will add more classes.

The 2005 Schedule is as follows:

01.29-30.04 TBA TBA
04.9-10.04 Wildcat 100 Decatur, AR
06.4-5.04 Thunder Valley E. Rochester, OH
06.18-19.04 Moose Run Morrison, IL
07.9-10.04 TBA Iowa
08.6-7.04 Moonshine 100 Memphis, MO
08.20-21.04 Spring Creek GP Millville, MN
10.29-30.04 The Race Morrison, IL
11.19-20.04 TBA Kentucky
12.10-11.04 Sooner GP Oklahoma

You had better luck with this promotor than a friend of mine did. This promotor stoled $10,000 from a promotor friend of mine in 2003.

i will be at the one in Ohio none of the other ones are close enough what day do quads race

quads race on saturday at aorund 2 or 3 usually. I race most the races in this series and it is an allright series but it always seems like the promotor(gusse) alwants wants to kill you with unsafe track spots. The tracks are pretty good though.

So Rob,
Did you race the Okla race?
How'd you do?
I read that not only was this the season Finale, but ALSO points for next season's series.

Fun series!!!
But their Website updates are VERY SLOW!!!

Pro class pays $$$ & I FINALLY got to see just how much $$$ taking a 1st place @ the OMA series pays!!! Millville 04 woowoo!!!

1-29-04 Opener, Sounds like a DRIVE for us Northern folks! As we'll prolly be preparing for the GNCC opener.

The moose run was a blast. There is a little bit of everything on the track at the moose run.

I had no problems with the promoter. He is actually a pretty cool guy. I have not heard anything negative about him until what you said about the 10,000.

Unsafe track spots??? I raced both the OMA and the GNCC. The OMA was much safer than some of the wide open 5th gear tapped GNCCs. When I was running stock suspension on my 450R I felt much safer at the OMAs than the GNCCs.

Yeah I raced the OK. Took 1st. You are correct about the opener for 05. They are going to put in more throwaways because of this. Yeah they are slow on thier updated but they have improved leapyears since last year. They are getting much better. Yes pro class does pay $$$ 100% and sometimes more. Yeah I would have been at Millville but I had to go to a wedding. It looked like Millville had the best competition. Yeah I know it is close to the GNCC opener but it could be a good practice race - I will be there.

I'm with you on this one of the races i went to there alwasy seemed to be "unsafe" spot, one race in particular had a bridge that wasnt even as wide as a fourwheeler, I watched the kid in front of me drive right off of it

As I recall, this is the only place I remember an unsafe spot. I didn't think he was going to run us across that until we came up on it after the start. He usually runs us across the other bridge which is a lot better. I know my rear was puckering across it.

Actually you don't sound dumb. But that is a good catch. They are all for 05. You know it is like right after you start a new year you are still writing 04 date on everything for two months - they are just getting a head start.

The January 29 date has been changed. It is now an undetermined date and place. I will update everyone when I see a final schedule.

Rob
