I have a 2005 400EX and i want to put sand tires on the rear and was asked if i wanted 8" or 10" tires. The question I have is what is the difference?

8inch more sidewall, get some itp sand stars 20x11x10 or 20x11x8, the 8inch will also be less money. Rockymountainatv has best prices

There is none really. The big thing for me is durabillity. With an 8inch wheel you have more sidewall protecting your wheel from flat spoting. With 10's you need to run a stronger(more expensive wheel) becuase there is less cussion to protect it. With 8 inch wheels you are less likly to blow the bead on the tire as well.

i have the 20x11x8 sandstars on itp t-9 rims, i got my combo for christmas last year and wish i could of chosen what rims because i would of getten the 10" itp rims with the sandstars because it looks way better, but its no biggy, just go with whatever ya want,
