with maier std. plastic, u need aftermarket side panels or can u modify ur own into working

U will need the maier side panels. the tabs on the maier plastics wont line up with the holes on the stock side panels.

probably if u know what you doing
never really tried just ordered thr side panels for the xtra 30 or so dollars to make it easier because the plastics are a pain to get on. Took me about 1hr and a half

the side panels off maier were 60 bux!!!

I had the standard plastics for my 03 400ex and sent them back to maier due to the fact they fit terrrible, so I up graded them to the brand new 1 piece . It comes with the key hole cut , I only had to purchase the front piece, rear piece and tank cover. It came with everything else. The quality of the new plastics is 100 percent better quality than the first set I had purchased. Thank you to JEFF AT MAIER FOR TAKING CARE OF US, THOUGH THEIR SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE REP JASON WHO WAS SUPPOSE TO TAKE CARE OF ME WENT TO MEXICO AND LEFT ME HANGING WITH OUT MY PLASTICS SO I GOT IN TOUCH WITH HIS BOSS JEFF AND HE TOTALLY HOOKED ME UP! I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE NEW 1 PIECE AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT ESPECIALY SINCE YOU GET TO RETAIN THE HEADLIGHTS.
