friend at work got the raptor 50,brand new,is there any type of intake or exhaust restriction to keep it slowed down?

I am not sure about the 50 but my kids 80's have an intake restrictor plate behind the air filter

I always thought the engine was the biggest restrictor in the raptor 50?

That and the very restrictive CDI...Now throw in the one speed trans and you end up with a quad that can do 12 MPH MAX!!..

What is the top speed of a Raptor 80 in 1st gear don't expect the 50 to do more then that..

Watch the diffrence in the plugs as well , my boys suzuki 50 had 2 diffrent types plugs one of which had a R for ristrictor? plus restrictor plates on both sides.
