Saturday October the 16th was the final round of the GNC TT series. Everyone knew that it was going to be a exciting one. There were many riders very close in points in many classes. In the pro class there were only 6 points seperating Tim Farr and Keith Little. Keith only had to finish 1 place behind Tim to take the overall championship.

I am going to have some photos of just about every race class. I will start out with the pro classes, move to the women (which I will be doing a full race report) and then the remaining classes. I have limited time to work on this, this week but will try to get it done ASAP

Posted by: macsolocam

Before the Pros started practice they had their racer meeting! It was made clear that there were two people here to win a championship and everyone wanted to see some good clean racing.

Posted by: macsolocam

another racer meeting shot...

Posted by: macsolocam

I am going to give you the track layout along with the pros doing a little practice, you also might see some am shots.

The starting gate was a dirt start.

Posted by: macsolocam

Coming out of the starting gate you had the straight stretch.

Here we see the #12 Keith Little pulling the holeshot and firing the straight stretch up at the start of the practice.

Posted by: macsolocam

The track then goes into a long bank left. Then on the back side you came into the lane option. You could take the outside lane that put you over the bridge or the inside that put you through the tunnel.

Here is Tim Farr taking the inside lane.

Posted by: macsolocam

After taking the inside lane, was a hard right bank and it put you through the tunnel.

Here is the right hand bank.

Posted by: macsolocam

Coming through the tunnel...

Posted by: macsolocam

After the tunnel you had a small table top. Here I think we have Nathen Dallas...It also could be John Mcghee of Legacy ATV, Nathen and John both race this quad.

Posted by: macsolocam

If you took the outside lane option you took a left straight to the bridge. Here is a look at #137 Mitch Reynolds from Greenbrier, AR.

Posted by: macsolocam

You then took a right over the bridge. Here is Rath.

Posted by: macsolocam

Coming across the bridge.

Posted by: macsolocam

After the bridge you make a small right and then back left, where the two lanes come back together.

Posted by: macsolocam

You then have the big bank at the other end of the track...It goes into a hard left then a right.

Posted by: macsolocam

Then it was back across the finish line.

Posted by: macsolocam

Before pro practice I caught Tim and Keith walking the track to check it out.

Posted by: macsolocam

Now lets get on to the pro main...Here is a shot of the starting line up.

Posted by: macsolocam

Another shot of the line....

Posted by: macsolocam

When the green light droped it was Keith Little pulling the holeshot....Followed by Tim Farr and Harold Goodman.

Posted by: macsolocam

Keith Little out front taking the inside of the lane option and coming out of the bridge.

Posted by: macsolocam

Quick shot of Harold Goodman....

Posted by: macsolocam

This is where the battle begins out front....Here you see Farr and Little taking the different lines.

Posted by: macsolocam

Farr was on the hunt but Little held off Tim for quite a few laps into the 20 lap event. Here you see Keith coming off of the bridge.

Posted by: macsolocam

Tim was closing the gap between him and Keith. Tim tried the lane option on Keith many times, but always was coming up a little short when the lanes came back together. It seemed that Tim needed to be a grab bar distance between the two of them before he took the lane option and then he might have the time to take the lead position if he was that close before going into the lane option. So in the next few laps, that is what Tim did!

Here's one...

Posted by: macsolocam

Here's two......

Posted by: macsolocam

Here's three.....

Posted by: macsolocam

Tim then takes the lane option and beats Keith to where the lanes come back together.

Nice nice nice pics Can't wait to see the women's coverage I'm curious @ these do they have youth classes? What are the youth's riding?? By youth I mean like 12-16 yr olds & do they run peewee's? Man I would LOVE to go @ least watch one of these big TT's someday!!

Posted by: macsolocam

Now lets get into what was going on in the rest of the pack....Here is #09 Lee Jon Reineccius who finished 13th.

Posted by: macsolocam

#22 Brad Covington coming over the bridge that finished 5th.

Posted by: macsolocam

Dave Kister #70 finished 8th.

Posted by: macsolocam

Jathen Seale was looking to get that third place overall for the season. Here in the main Jathen finished 4th.

Posted by: macsolocam

After Farr made the pass on Little, the action then went on to Little and Hitt. Hitt was in strikeing distance and if he took the second place spot it would put the championship in the hands of Farr. Here is a shot of Hitt.

Posted by: macsolocam

#2 Darin Ogden finished 7th.

Posted by: macsolocam

#59 J Drew Hillian finished 10th.

Posted by: macsolocam

Here is a shot of Farr out front, Hitt pressuring Little in the background.

Posted by: macsolocam

#47 Zac Willet finished 9th.

Posted by: macsolocam

Here is Farr on the last lap right before taking the checkered flag.

Posted by: macsolocam

Hitt and Little battled the last half of the race but Hitt never did make the pass. Here you see Little ready to get back on the gas to a second place finish.

Posted by: macsolocam

And here is your 2004 GNC TT National Champion Keith Little with a second place finish at Brashear, TX. Here Keith throws his goggles into the croud.

Posted by: macsolocam

Keith taking his championship lap with the checkered.

Posted by: macsolocam

A representive of atv sport was on hand(sorry didn't catch his name...anybody can help me out) and presented a t-shirt to Terry Reynolds with all the first place finishers of each class.

Terry (Race promoter) what a great job!!!

Posted by: macsolocam

I would like to congratulate keith!!!

I don't think many people realize what kind of determination and effort he has put into his racing career. He is one of the hardest working guys that I've ever been around and a person that I have a great respect for.

Keith, this is the 1st of many to come. Your the man and the true meaning of the word CHAMPION!!!!
