HI All...my neighbor just got a 2 stroke polaris 250 trailblazer. I'ts been a long time since I have worked on the old "weed wackers". What type of maintenance is involved with the 2-strokes. It is oil injected so mixing oil isn't an issue.

Thanks

On that machine, not too much. Probably once a year tear the top end down to check the cylinder and piston... shouldn't have much wear, so you'd just have to hone the cylinder. Clean the combustion dome. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge of that machine will reply.

take the oil injection off! removes a ****-ton of weight, and will make it run better. i trust me more than i do a machine, which can fail.

also, the HPD pipe and clutch kit really wakes those bikes up. it will actually pull the front wheels with those parts added

another thing...not sure what model your neighbor has, but my 2000 model had a bad problem with a big bolt on the left side of the swingarm coming loose when ridden real hard. it also liked to shift itself into neutral upon landing from 6+ feet of air
